Installing the IssueNet Platform

This page provides detailed instructions of a default installation of the IssueNet Suite on a server class machine. The installation steps were performed on a Windows 2003 Server with SQL Server 2005. The IssueNet Suite was installed which installs the IssueNet platform and all client applications including:
  • IssueNet Administrator
  • IssueNet Architect
  • IssueNet Assistant
  • IssueNet Integration Manager
  • IssueNet Manager
  • IssueNet Service Manager

As well as these separately licensed IssueNet products:
  • IssueNet Insight (Web Application)
  • IssueNet Relay (Web Application)
  • IssueNet Relay Administration (Web Application)

Prerequisites:
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or SQL Express
  • Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager 5.0 or higher- required to host Web Services, Relay, IssueNet Central and IssueNet Insight
  • .NET Framework 2.0 or higher
  • Message Queuing- Required to support the Elsinore Notification Service ()
  • It is recommended that the installation be performed by a user with full administrative rights to the machine.

The Installation Wizard

  1. Insert the installation CD or double-click the downloaded IssueNet Suite .EXE
  2. If prompted, enter the password provided and click OK
  3. Once the InstallShield Wizard has finished unpacking the installation files, click Next to begin the installation
  4. Please read or print the License Agreement and click Yes to continue
  5. There are 3 setup types, choose Server which installs the IssueNet platform and all client applications
    • a. choose a Destination Folder, by default this is C:\Program Files\Elsinore, click Next
  6. Web Site Destination- If you have not previously created a web site to which to deploy the IssueNet web applications, choose Default Website and click Next
  7. Select Program Folder, by default this is named Elsinore, click Next
  8. Once this information has been verified , click Next to begin installing the product
  9. When the installation completes, you will be prompted to View the IssueNet ReadMe and Run the IssueNet Assistant.
