The IssueNet Service Manager provides an environment for configuring the Windows services, template files, messaging queues, and other settings that allow an IssueNet solution to send email notifications and perform scheduled tasks.
Once configured, the notification and monitor services run continually and serve notifications, run scheduled tasks, and perform escalations based on IssueNet actions and triggers created using the IssueNet Administrator or Architect.
Most settings and options provided by the Service Manager will be set once and modified very infrequently, if at all. However, some items such as notification templates and monitor settings may be configured more frequently as workflows and business processes change. The Service Manager is designed to be used by a business user, however, some settings required for the initial configuration may require information or assistance from a network administrator.
Note: In version 5.0 and higher, the IssueNet Service Manager has been replaced by Mail Delivery Options in the IssueNet Administrator.
